Professor Salvatore Di Somma is Professor of medicine, chairman of Postagraduate School of Emergency Medicine and director of Territory Emergencies and Telemedicine Programme, ASL Latina-University of Rome Sapienza and Past-Director of Department of Emergency Medicine, Sant’Andrea Hospital Rome, University “La Sapienza”, Rome, Italy. He published more than 300 papers in the field of acute cardiac care, cardiology, and emergency medicine. He is Editor-in-Chief of Eurasian Journal of Emergency Medicine and of Translational Medicine Section in the journal “Medicina” and vice-president of GREAT Network Association, a worldwide academic research organization aimed to develop research in the field of acute diseases. Professor Di Somma is also considered a worldwide expert in the utility of biomarkers and new technology innovations in acute diseases. Moreover, he is the Chairman of the scientific committee of the Italian association of patients with heart failure (AISC) and member of ACCA ESC working group of acute heart failure. He is also visiting Professor at UCSD Health Center UCSD USA and Expert Professor at the department of medicine Lund University Sweden.
Professor Jorge Ordonez-Llanos, MD, PhD is an expert in clinical biochemistry and biomarkers intended for use in the ED. He is currently Professor of Clinical Biochemistry at the Universidad Autonoma and emeritus senior consultant on Clinical Biochemistry at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, both in Barcelona, and Technical Director of the Biochemistry and Molecular Pathology Foundation. He serves as consultant in the Committee on Clinical Applications of Cardiac Biomarkers of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry after chairing the group for 6-years. Finally, he is member of the Academy of Clinical Chemistry of the American Association of Clinical Chemistry. He has published more than 200 papers in the field clinical biochemistry and emergency medicine.
Professor Olle Melander is an expert in cardiovascular diseases. He is a professor of internal medicine with focus on cardiovascular diseases at Lund University. He has published more than 500 papers in the field of CVD, diabetes and population health. He has received numerous awards and grants for his research.
Professor Michael Christ is an expert in emergency medicine, intensive care, cardiology and biomarkers intended for use in the ED. He is a Professor of emergency medicine and the head of the Emergency Center, LUKS Luzern. He has published more than 300 scientific articles in the fields of emergency medicine, intensive care and cardiology.
