Welcome to the May Newsletter from Hemcheck
|
Hemcheck has continued on its journey in May. We have continued our efforts to expand our distributor network, setting up and conducting product trials and promoting Hemcheck in the market. We e.g. participated in the digital annual meeting of ISBER, which is an international society for biobanking, and we signed an additional distributor agreement regarding Ireland.
|
During May we also signed additional employees to complete the team in the clinical and quality areas. These will be very important going forward, both in the daily work but also in regards to product development and ensuring compliance with the new IVDR regulations.
|
|
We also held our Annual General Meeting, an important event for all companies each year.
|

New Quality Assurance Manager & Clinical Specialist to Hemcheck
|
Hemcheck has hired Michael Kissi as the new Quality Assurance Manager for the company. Michael is starting in June 2021 and has experience from several positions in the quality assurance area from various industries. He has previously held the position as Quality Manager at Bio-Rad, Barilla and as a consultant for Sigma Industry East / North.

In addition we hired Anders Hellström as the new Clinical Specialist for the company. Anders is starting in August 2021 and has long experience from laboratory medicine where he also has come into contact with Hemcheck products. Anders comes from the position at Unilabs, Stockholm.

Interim report Q1 2021 now available
|
We released our interim report for the first quarter of 2021 on May 7.

The Annual General Meeting
|
The annual general meeting was held during May, an important event for all companies. This year we unfortunately had to conduct it without the presence of shareholders due to the pandemic. The process went well and decisions were taken as proposed.

Distribution agreement signed with Cruinn Diagnostics regarding the Irish market
|
Hemcheck has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Cruinn Diagnostics, a leading distributor of laboratory and medical equipment in Ireland. Cruinn Diagnostics is a well-established distributor in Ireland representing well known global companies, while having a focus on pre-analytics. The agreement will be in force from July and valid until the end of June 2024, concerning the Irish market. Cruinn Diagnostics has committed to an initial purchase order of readers and one-time tests for a value of 8,000 EUR.

Participation in the annual, digital exhibition of ISBER - the latest products and services in the industry of biobanks and biorepositories
|
Hemcheck participated as one of the exhibitors in the annual, digital conference of ISBER 2021. The ISBER society aims at promoting the best practices that cut across the broad range of repositories that ISBER serves and is the only global forum that addresses scientific, technical, legal, and ethical issues for biobanks and biorepositories.
|
This year ca 400 conference participants and 29 exhibitors visited the digital forum. Key decision makers visited to see the latest products and services in the industry. By participating as exhibitor, Hemcheck could build brand awareness and promote our concepts. The virtual format provided a variety of opportunities to connect with delegates and we had several rewarding and constructive conversations with potential customers. We also gained new interesting contacts at different biobanks globally, which will now be followed-up in separate meetings for further discussions on possible collaborations.

Shortly after the ISBER conference we started a new trial at a European Biobank for evaluation of our concept for biobanking purposes. We have since before FIND as a customer in this area as well.
